StreamPulse is a Toronto-based streaming service founded by cord-cutters who got tired of paying $180/month for a Bell or Rogers cable package they barely used. We launched in 2019 with 80 customers and a promise: more channels, better quality, a fair price, and a real human at the other end of the WhatsApp. Today we serve over 12,000 Canadian households.
The idea started in a basement in Scarborough in 2018. Our founder, a long-time Maple Leafs fan, wanted to watch every game without paying for a premium sports package, two regional Sportsnet feeds he didn't need, and a hardware rental fee on a box he never asked for. He started building an IPTV service for himself and a few friends. Word spread. Within a year there were hundreds of customers; within three years, thousands.
We're still independent, still Toronto-based, still answering WhatsApp messages personally. We have not been acquired by a telecom and never will be.
Our customer base is as diverse as Canada. Hockey families in the GTA who want every Leafs game. Habs fans in Montréal who want RDS in 4K. Newcomers from India who want Star Plus, Zee TV, and IPL cricket alongside their Canadian channels. Arabic-speaking families who want MBC and beIN Sports plus full English coverage for the kids. Cord-cutters in BC who simply want one app for everything they used to pay six services for.
We aggregate over 145,000 channels through licensed distribution partners covering Canada, the United States, the UK, India, the Arabic-speaking world, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. We continuously add new feeds — if a major channel is missing, message us and we'll source it.
